A Medicine Hat, Alberta–based artist creating acrylic and oil paintings inspired by prairie landscapes, small-town life, and florals. Known for capturing the colour, charm, and quiet beauty of the Canadian prairies.
What’s the key?
My clients often ask me this question. It all began in 2015 when I stumbled upon a box of old keys in my first rented studio space. Serendipitously, I had just finished an exhibition featuring the doors of downtown Medicine Hat. The connection was undeniable, and I knew incorporating these keys into my art was meant to be.
Fast forward to today, and bags of keys are dropped off in my mailbox by kind-hearted individuals. Furthermore, when clients commission a piece of art, they have the opportunity to choose or supply their own key. This unique and personal element becomes a profound part of their painting, enhancing its meaning and adding a touch of individuality.

I love to capture the essence of living on the prairies in my acrylic paintings. I aim to portray the warmth of familiar Southern Alberta and Western landscapes, family homes, the character of local businesses, and the enduring bonds of our close-knit communities. I hope these re-imaginings invite you to see this environment in a new light.
I use a distinctive impressionistic style to transform everyday scenes into vibrant acrylic artworks that breathe life into the canvas. The themes of incorporating key hardware and text within the art transport the viewer to a place that feels like home.
