NEW Workshop for 2022

Friday Evening:
Learn how to take better photos for painting as well as how to choose and edit the
photos you already have. What works for painting and which photos don’t make the cut.
Bring a stack of pictures you have wanted to try to paint and Let’s work some magic into
your photos.

Saturday: Fast and Furious Painting.
We will be painting 6 paintings in one day. Learn to take the fear out of painting by
jumping right in and make fast, bold and brave decisions.

Photos will be displayed on a screen and you will have 20 minutes to paint what is before you. Amazingly enough, you will be shocked at how good you can paint when you don’t have time to think. Just start swinging your brush and have fun. Subjects will range from landscapes to animals, figures maybe even a flower or two. Lots of hands-on instruction will be included.

Supply List:

Colours:
– Cadmium yellow light or Hans yellow light
– Cadmium yellow deep
– Yellow ochre
– Cadmium orange
– Burnt Sienna
– Quinacridone rose
– Ultramarine blue
– Manganese blue
– Chroma black graham (this is a must)

Mediums:
– Liquin for oil or an acrylic medium

Canvas:
8×8 – 8×10 or 9×12 canvas board combo of either size is fine.

Brushes:
#2, #4, #6, #10 Bristle Brushes.

Extras:
– Gamsol and a cleaning pot.
– Yogurt container with a kitchen scratchy if your using acrylics
– Strip off palette or sat-wet palette
– Paper towels

WE will supply reference photos for this class.
